Anna is an artistic and collaborative theatre director who often works with new writing, and enjoys audience-centred experiences, adaptations and devised work. She brings plays to life that are darkly comic, character-driven, and incorporate bold stage design.

Anna graduated with an MA in Drama Directing from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2024, directing a successful production of Black Mountain by Brad Birch at the Wardrobe Theatre. Whilst studying in Bristol, Anna directed two new plays, Scratchings and Us (and all The Other Sh*T) at the Alma Theatre.

Her Assistant Director credits include: Tiger Country at Tobacco Factory Theatre, Love the Sinner (Vanishing Point), And… And… And… (Strange Town Touring Company), BABS and The Silver Superheros (A Play, A Pie and A Pint). 

She has a 1st class honours degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Edinburgh; writing and textual development continue to form a large part of her work. She was a supported writer on the textLAB programme run by Scottish Youth Theatre and Playwrights' Studio Scotland in 2022, and was subsequently awarded Creative Scotland funding to develop her debut play Breakers.

Anna is from the Highlands and works between Scotland and Bristol. She has also produced several award-winning short films and works as a facilitator in youth theatre.
